Cursus IHE XDS Advanced

In cooperation with IHE Europe, we are organising this hands-on training that is intended for those who are involved in the design, development, testing, implementation, roll-out and administration of XDS-based (as well as XDS-I/XCA-based) systems and architecture.

This course offers participants hands-on troubleshooting practice with regard to XDS. It also offers guidelines on how to design, develop and test software based on XDS specifications. Available XDS toolkits for implementation are a part of the programme. At least 50% of the time will be spent on hands-on exercises.

Access Control

  • E.g. BPPC, XUA, SAML token, validation of assertions
Day 2

XDS-I

  • XDS-I testing, validation, simulation, hands-on exercise
  • E.g. RAD55/RAD69, image routing

XCA, XCA-I

  • XCA/XCA-I testing, validation, simulation, hands-on exercise

XDW

  • XDW testing, validation, simulation, hands-on exercise
  • E.g. validation of XDW documents

Overview of programming toolkits, commercial and public domain

  • For XDS/XDS-I, XCA/XCA-I, XUA, ATNA, PIX, (and other supporting IHE profiles)

Summary 

Requirements

Participants have knowledge of IHE XDS, for example by attending the course on regional exchange using XDS and ECM, as well as knowledge of XML and web services.
You must bring your own laptop, with permanent Ethernet connection, to perform the exercises that form part of this training course. This laptop must run a Windows OS (no! Linux or Mac) and it must also be possible to configure the IP addresses in order to connect to the virtual test environment. You will be asked to install tooling software prior to the course.
